Bought a firearm online from a retailer like PSA or GunBroker, or from an out-of-state private seller? Ship it directly to our Plainfield home-based FFL and we'll handle the rest, starting at $35. We regularly transfer firearms for buyers throughout Plainfield Township, North Grand Rapids, and the greater Kent County area.

Transfer Pricing

Transfers are $35 for the first firearm, plus $5 for each additional firearm transferred in the same pickup.

The additional-firearm rate applies only to firearms picked up in the same transaction. It doesn't carry over to future transfers.

MCRGO Membership Option

Instead of paying us the $35 base transfer fee, you can choose to put it toward a new membership with the Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners (MCRGO). The $5 additional-firearm fee still applies.

Example: transferring two firearms with this option means $35 goes toward your MCRGO membership and $5 is paid to Bangarang Firearms. This applies to the base fee on that transfer only, and doesn't create free or discounted future transfers.

The Process, Step by Step

Purchase your firearm from an online retailer (like PSA or GunBroker), out-of-state private seller, or auction site.

Send the seller our FFL information so they can ship the firearm directly to us. Contact us and we'll send you our license details.

We receive and log the firearm per ATF requirements, then reach out to let you know it's arrived.

Schedule your pickup appointment. We're home-based and by appointment only, with evenings and weekends available.

Complete your transfer: fill out ATF Form 4473, pass your NICS background check, pay your transfer fee, and take your firearm home.

What to Bring to Your Appointment

A valid, current government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID, or passport).
Any state-required permit that applies to your purchase (for example, a Michigan pistol purchase permit or valid CPL for handguns). We'll confirm current Michigan requirements with you when you schedule.
Payment for your transfer fee ($35 for the first firearm, plus $5 for each additional firearm).

Federal law generally requires buyers to be at least 21 to receive a handgun and 18 to receive a long gun, and to pass a NICS background check. Additional state or local requirements may apply. We're happy to walk through your specific situation when you reach out.

Shipping a Firearm to Us

Because we're home-based, our address isn't listed publicly. Contact us before your firearm ships and we'll send your seller our FFL shipping information directly.

The seller should ship using a carrier that accepts firearm shipments (commonly UPS or FedEx; USPS restrictions vary by firearm type) and provide tracking information. Once the package arrives, we'll log it and reach out to schedule your appointment.

Good to Know

We're appointment-only, with no walk-ins or public storefront.
Most transfers are completed the same day as your appointment, pending NICS results. In some cases federal law allows the background check system to delay a determination.
If you're between 18 and 21 years old and have never purchased a firearm before, expect a 3 to 7 day delay on your background check. Federal law requires an enhanced check for buyers under 21. This is a normal part of the process, not a denial, and we'll hold your firearm and contact you as soon as it clears.
Firearms are held for pickup for 30 days after we notify you they've arrived. After that, storage fees may apply, as described in the transfer terms below.
All transfers are subject to applicable federal, state, and local law, and we reserve the right to decline any transaction.

Firearm Transfer Terms & Conditions

By having a firearm shipped to Bangarang Firearms LLC, you agree to the terms below. Bangarang Firearms LLC accepts inbound firearm transfers by appointment only.

Transfer Fees

Standard firearm transfer pricing:

$35 for the first firearm
+$5 for each additional firearm on the same transfer

Examples: 1 firearm = $35, 2 firearms = $40, 3 firearms = $45.

The additional firearm fee only applies to firearms transferred during the same pickup or transaction. This does not mean future transfers are only $5.

MCRGO Membership Option

Customers may choose to have the $35 base transfer fee applied toward a new Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners (MCRGO) membership instead of paying that $35 to Bangarang Firearms LLC. The $5 fee for each additional firearm still applies.

Example: a customer transfers 2 firearms and chooses the MCRGO membership option. $35 goes toward the MCRGO membership, and a $5 additional firearm fee is paid to Bangarang Firearms LLC.

This option only applies to the base transfer fee for that specific transfer. It does not create free transfers or $5 future transfers.

Incoming Transfers

Customers should contact Bangarang Firearms LLC before having a firearm shipped.

Once the firearm arrives, it will be logged into our records and held until the customer completes all required paperwork, background check, and payment. Firearms cannot be released until all federal, state, and local requirements are completed.

Background Checks, Delays, and Denials

All firearm transfers require the appropriate paperwork and background check.

If a customer is delayed, the firearm will remain secured until the transfer can legally proceed.
If a customer is denied, prohibited, unable, or unwilling to complete the transfer, the customer is responsible for any return shipping, insurance, storage fees, or other related costs.
Bangarang Firearms LLC will not release a firearm to any person who cannot legally receive or possess it.

Return Shipping

If a firearm must be returned to the seller, shipper, or another FFL, the customer is responsible for all return shipping and insurance costs. Bangarang Firearms LLC is not responsible for return shipping costs on denied, refused, incomplete, or abandoned transfers.

No firearm will be return-shipped without proper instructions and prepaid shipping and insurance arrangements.

Storage and Unclaimed Transfers

Customers are expected to pick up transferred firearms within 30 days of arrival notice. After 30 days, storage fees may begin at $5 per week, per firearm.

Firearms left unclaimed for an extended period may be subject to additional storage fees, return to sender, or lawful disposition to recover unpaid fees and costs, as permitted by applicable law. Bangarang Firearms LLC will make reasonable attempts to contact the customer using the contact information provided.

Customer Responsibility

By having a firearm shipped to Bangarang Firearms LLC, the customer understands and agrees that:

They must be legally able to purchase and possess firearms.
They are responsible for all transfer fees, additional firearm fees, storage fees, return shipping, insurance, and related costs.
Firearms cannot be released without completed paperwork and required background check approval or other lawful authorization.
Failure to complete pickup may result in storage fees and possible lawful disposition of the firearm.
